As part of our new High-Performance Youth Scholarship scheme, we are looking to provide support for young local boulderers, sport climbers and trad climbers with high-performance climbing goals and the right attitude to be ambassadors for Uprising.

The aim of the programme is to encourage the growth of high-performance climbing in Aotearoa New Zealand through a reduction in financial barriers facing young athletes who are committed to high-performance sport climbing, trad climbing or bouldering. We want our ambitious young climbers to have good access to high-quality training facilities, and climbing opportunities at our best outdoor boulders and crags.

For each successful applicant, we will provide a 12-month Uprising membership, and up to $1000 worth of expense-coverage to assist with the funding of climbing trips, gear or training.

Uprising Youth Ambassadors will be role models to all climbers, demonstrate stewardship towards our climbing areas and facilities, and be committed to helping the NZ climbing community grow.
