It might be cold outside, but we're turning up the heat for the Uprising Midwinter Send Social!
From an extra special Friday set to coached workshops, yoga, live DJs, and pizza — it's gonna be big.

Make sure to mark Friday 25th July in your calendars for a fun night out, because it’s all going down here — from the walls, to the yoga studio, to the fitness area! Climbing and yoga classes kick off from 4pm, followed by a live DJ set and party vibes from 7pm.

  • Climbing Workshops 
    • 4:00pm – 5:00pm Youth Intro to Bouldering (7-11yrs & 12-15yrs) — Meet our coaches, meet new boulder buddies, and improve your climbing. Join an Uprising coach for a discounted coached session with rental shoes included. This session is best for young climbers new to climbing or new to being coached. Free for members or $15 including entry and shoes.
    • 6:00pm – 7:00pm Bouldering Beginners Social (16+yrs) — New to climbing and want some guidance? Come and meet our Uprising Coaches and fellow climbers for an hour of social guided bouldering. Improve your technique, ask lots of questions, and meet some new bouldering buddies. Free for members or $24 including entry and shoes.
    • 6:00pm – 7:00pm Comp Style Skills Workshop (members exclusive) — Join our experienced Uprising coaches as they take you through some essential comp style movement skills and strategies. Work on your dynamic movement, your coordination and your route reading whilst hanging out with your fellow boulder buddies! Free for members, please log into GymMaster to book.
  • Yoga Classes
    • 4:30pm – 5:15pm Yin Yang Never tried yoga before? Yin Yang is a great place to start; this class offers a balanced practice that combines a variation of active movement and slower, longer held floor-based postures. It’s also perfect as a warm-up for climbing, and with free studio mats available to use, what better way to kick off a night of sends? Free for members or $24 including entry.
    • 5:30pm – 7:00pm Intro to Ashtanga — Curious to learn more about Ashtanga, one of the most popular yoga styles here at Uprising? Join us for a special Intro to Ashtanga class, with an optional half hour of Mysore style guided self-practice at the end. Our Ashtanga Vinyasa based classes cultivate strength and ease in body, clarity in mind and fullness in breath. This class will introduce you to a consistent pattern: starting with some warming sun salutations and standing postures moving into some grounding seated postures and enlivening back bends then coming back to centre with a calming finishing sequence. Free for members or $24 including entry.
  • DJ set with Craigslist from 7:00pm onwards
  • AMA with Lee from ATP Coaching & Performance 6:00pm – 7:00pm — Got a burning question about training, lifting, warming up, or anything strength and conditioning? Lee from ATPCP will be hanging out in the Fitness Area for an hour, come say hi and pick his brain!
  • Special Friday Setting — Fresh blocs for you to climb with your buddies
  • Pizza and Pint Special — $20 for a small pizza and pint of your choice
  • Giveaways! We’ll have some Uprising goodies to give out on the night. Gotta be in it to win it…
