Wow. Five years! We can hardly believe it. What a 5 years it’s been.
Massive thanks to all you awesome people who make Uprising what it is – a beautiful place of boulders, yoga, radness and community.

We’re celebrating over Fri 9 & Sat 10 August with a programme of special events.

Join us for bouldering & yoga workshops, Olympics Boulder Finals screenings, DJ Hayden spinning tunes on Friday night, a special line-up of Two Thumb beers on tap, big Pro-shop & membership discounts, Olympic boulders set & boulder marathon … and more!

A one-off extra special Olympics themed boulder set. (From 5pm Friday)

Boulderthon – a Marathon of Boulders

Saturday 10 August – all day.

Ultra marathon – all climbs graded tag 5 to ?
Full marathon – all climbs graded tag 3 to 5
Half marathon- all climbs graded 1 to 3
Kids 10k – all climbs marked with the olympic torch (mixed difficulty).

You can enter any of the three Boulderthons above.

You have all day Saturday to send as much as you can.

Don’t have TopLogger, or want to do the kids 10k? Just ask for a score-sheet from the front desk.

Adult Beginners class with Evie
Saturday 10 August. 11am – 12pm or 2pm – 3pm.
Free for all Uprising members. $25 non-members.
Never been coached before? Come and meet Uprising coach Evie Boyd and fellow climbers for an hour of social guided bouldering. These classes are for beginner climbers working on Tags 1-3.

Adult Intermediate class with an Uprising Coach
Saturday 10 August. 10am – 11am or 2pm – 3pm.
Free for all Uprising members. $27 non-members.
Reached a bit of a plateau in your climbing, not sure how to progress? Come along for a taster of the Level Up climbing programme. Perfect for intermediate climbers who have some familiarity with bouldering looking to push their performance and develop their bouldering skills.

Kids’ Beginner class with Ilya & Evie
Saturday 10 August. 10am – 10:45am.
Free for all Uprising members. $18 non-members.
Learn the basics of bouldering with an Uprising coach, perfect for kids that have just started out climbing or have never climbed before. Ages 7-12, rental shoes included for anyone that needs them.

Learn how to utilise a fingerboard safely to progress your climbing.

Ever thought about using the fitness and training area but not sure where to start? Join Uprising PT Ilya for a gentle orientation to the Uprising fitness area. Learn how to use equipment safely, what equipment might be most beneficial to your needs and some training basics.

Intro to Yoga for Climbers with Gordie
Friday 9 August. 6pm – 7pm.
Free for all Uprising members. $22 non-members.
An accessible class for all to come along and try a yoga for climbers class with a typical Vinyasa flow warm-up, a few intro playful arm balances for strengthening shoulders, core sesh for abs and stretch of muscles helpful for climbing flexibility.

Uprising Align with Timea
Saturday 10 August. 2:45pm – 3:15pm.
Free for all Uprising members. $15 non-members.
Come and try out a short class where the main focus is alignment, stability and mobility of the joints and a healthy spine. This class is a great option to warm up your body before climbing.  No previous experience is required.

Flow Yoga with Timea
Saturday 10 August. 3:30pm – 4:30pm.
Free for all Uprising members. $22 non-members.
This style of class allows the body to move from posture to posture with the breath. Focus is on stretching, lengthening,  strengthening through a creative flow of postures. Towards the end of the session, there will a short guided relaxation to assist the body, soul and mind soak up all benefits that the practice can provide.

Vinyasa Flow for Climbers with Silke
Saturday 10 August. 4:45pm – 5:45pm.
Free for all Uprising members. $22 non-members.
A yoga flow specifically designed for climbers aiming to enhance their performance. This session targets key areas that often tighten from climbing, shoulders, hips and legs, while also building strength and balance. The session will end with a guided relaxation for recovery. Whether you use this class as a warm-up before your climbing session, a practice afterward, or simply as a stand-alone routine, you’ll experience stretches and functional movements that promote flexibility, stability, and mental clarity.

Deep Stretch for Climbers with Gordie
Saturday 10 August. 6pm – 7pm.
Free for all Uprising members. $22 non-members.
An accessible Yin yoga style class sequenced specifically to aid opening up your climbing muscles post climb. Perfect if you line-up bouldering sesh prior and then drop into a guided stretch.  Prior exercise to class is not a requirement though, and it will be equally suitable if you just like the idea of a nourishing deep stretch yoga class.
