Climbing Trauma Workshop

A first aid workshop focusing on how best to deal with climbing trauma.

This workshop is aimed at anyone who climbs or is involved in adventure activities outdoors. It is also ideal for people working in the outdoor industry looking for some professional development.
The workshop will cover:

  • Major trauma assessment and management
  • General injury assessment and management
  • Group dynamics
  • Equipment

Max 6 people

Basic first aid and CPR knowledge will be an advantage.Facilitated by Dr Sam Bartholomew from Medicine Our Way. Sam is a FRNZCUC, CORE instructor & Medical Advisor for the NZHGPA. He currently works in urgent care and rural hospital medicine.

The course will involve some bouldering as part of group dynamics training, so participants should bring climbing shoes.
