The ACAT Climbathon is a nationwide fundraising and participation event throughout April 2026 bringing climbers together to take action for access. Climbers can challenge themselves to complete 100 climbs and raise $20,000 to power ACAT’s important work. Whether you boulder, sport, trad, or alpine climb, it’s a simple idea with powerful impact: climb, connect, contribute.
In support of Climbathon, join us at Uprising this Friday 17th April from 5pm for the 100 Club challenge!
How does it work? Simple – your goal is to score 100 points (or more) in one session.
Each boulder is worth the same number of points as its tag, i.e. 1 pt for a 1 tag, 2 pts for a 2 tag, and so on. All boulders in the gym are IN, so it’s up to you how you’d like to structure your individual challenge on the night – climb all the 5 tags? Sweet. Primary colours only? Go for it!
Track your points on Toplogger here – everyone who completes the 100 Club will go into the draw to win some sweet spot prizes, including a month of FREE Unlimited Membership! Plus, of course, 100 Club bragging rights. The challenge is open for one night only, so many sure you’re ticking off the climbs as you go.
The 100 Club is free to participate in, but please consider making a donation towards ACAT on the night (you can even do this here at the front desk), sponsoring a Climbathon participant, or even signing up to the Climbathon yourself! We are huge fans of the work that ACAT (Aotearoa Climbing Access Trust), do to protect, sustain, and regain access to crags around Aotearoa – this access relies on strong relationships with landowners, iwi and hapū, councils, and DOC. With the help of people like you, the Uprising community has raised over $26,000 for ACAT through our annual Summer Sends Series competition – learn more about their mahi here.
